Master Johnetta Barnett

Master Johnetta Barnett started her Taekwondo journey with her husband, Dr. David Barnett, and sons, Curtis and Chris Barnett over 30 years ago under Master Yi. She is currently a second-degree black belt. She teaches the Little Dragon Program here at the school and at the Athens After School Program. 

Johnetta is from Lexington, Kentucky. Johnetta is an educator and has been teaching in the Clarke County School District for 32 years. She and her husband, Dr. David Barnett founded the school in 2004 in Athens. 

Being a kid at heart, she loves working with children. She enjoys talking to people and sharing about their walks of life.
